International Tourism Academy for Advanced Studies (ITA)
2025/05/27

Introduction
The International Tourism Academy for Advanced Studies (ITA) is dedicated to introducing high-quality third-year entry study programs in Austria in collaboration with leading European institutions. In recent years, an increasing number of graduates from Austrian tourism colleges have expressed interest in pursuing academic qualifications. However, Austrian universities of applied sciences often fail to fully recognize the competencies and practical expertise acquired in these colleges. Consequently, many graduates are required to complete an additional six semesters of study to obtain a bachelor’s degree.

After an extensive evaluation, ITA partnered with TRIAGON Academy, a reputable European institution offering third-year entry Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs in Business Management in Sector-Specific Studies, with a specialization in Tourism and Hotel Management. Based on a comparative analysis of Austrian tourism college curricula, it was determined that graduates possess learning outcomes equivalent to the first two years of a degree program (120 ECTS). Therefore, eligible students can earn their bachelor’s degree by completing only seven modules (60 ECTS) over two semesters.
