“From Khaleghi to Today”

The first scientific meeting on composition in Iranian music, titled “From Khaleghi to Today,” will be held at the Tehran Music House.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Abasabad Cultural and Tourism Area of Tehran (ACTAT), the first session of the meeting will take place on 6 October.

The meeting will feature presentations by Sepehr Seraji, a postdoctoral music researcher at the Institute for Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Science; Arvin Sedaghat-Kish, composer, music critic, and lecturer at Shiraz University of Art; Mohammad Ali Morati, ethnomusicologist and assistant professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Art; and Mohammad Reza Azizi, composer and music researcher.

The meeting will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Tehran House of Music, located on Shahid Haghani Expressway (westbound), at the entrance to the National Library of Iran, Dr. Habibi Boulevard, Central Bank Martyrs Street.

The event is free of charge and open to the public.
