Special Programme for World Tourism Day and the National Week of Tehran
A special programme for World Tourism Day and the National Week of Tehran, titled “Stories of Tehran,” will be held from 27 September to 8 October at the Abasabad Cultural and Tourism Area of Tehran (ACTAT). The programme will feature an exhibition, meetings, panel discussions, workshops, cultural and artistic events, as well as a car rally.
According to the Public Relations Department of the ACTAT, the key concept of the specialised programme revolves around this year’s World Tourism Day theme, “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.” Discussion panels and specialised meetings will focus on the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in the tourism industry, changes in service delivery patterns, and the redesign of tourism experiences. A series of specialised workshops will also explore different aspects of these topics.
The exhibition “Stories of Tehran” will be inaugurated at Koushk-e-Bagh-e-Honar (Art Garden Pavilion) on 5 October. On 29 September, Energy Park will be opened to the public at ACTAT, with the participation of children who have recovered from cancer at the Mahak Institute.
A car rally and a range of cultural and artistic events are also planned as part of the programme. On 3 October, the documentary film “Atash Dar Golestan” (Fire in Golestan) will be screened, alongside the launch of the book “Ahl-e-Tehroonam” (I Am from Tehran), in the presence of the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts. On the same day, the Omidvar Brothers Award will be presented to activists working in the field of tourism.
“Stories of Tehran” will be held from 27 September to 8 October at Koushk-e-Bagh-e-Honar and other venues across the Abasabad Cultural and Tourism Area of Tehran.
