Nowruz Park

Nowruz Park

Located at the heart of Abasabad Eco Park, Nowruz Park is considered one of the most important parks in the complex. It is designed with a unique cultural, social, national, and transnational theme, creating a sense of cultural unity and celebrating the greatness of ancient Iran. The park is divided into two main sections—Northern Nowruz and Southern Nowruz—connected by Mashahir Square. ECO member countries that celebrate Nowruz also have a presence in this park.

Northern Nowruz Park was specifically designed to introduce and highlight the Nowruz tradition as a shared cultural feature among the countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), all of which have been honoring Nowruz for many years and celebrating the season of new growth. Within the park lies Nowruz Lake, covering an area of 17,000 square meters and divided into three sections. The northern part represents a miniature version of the Caspian Sea and features a musical design, with water movement synchronized to music. The lake continues through Mashahir Square, known as the middle lake, and finally extends to the southern lake.

Additionally, Constellation Square—symbolizing the zodiac or solar months—is located at the northern entrance of Nowruz Park, just after the Silk Bridge. It is designed with lighting and fixed fountains, adding a spectacular visual element to the park’s entrance.
