Ascension Structure (Sazeh-ye-Orouj)

Ascension Structure (Sazeh-ye-Orouj)

The Orouj (Ascension) volumetric structure is inspired by the 16th-century miniature “The Ascension of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)” painted by Sultan Mohammad Naqash. The design incorporates elements of Iranian-Islamic art and symbolism, including motifs such as the altar and the dome.

In the composition of this work, particular attention has been given to employing the spiral form, one of the most innovative and conceptual symbols in Iranian-Islamic art, as the central structural theme.

This piece has been installed at the end of Banader Park in the Abasabad Ecopark to honor the memory and status of Martyr Haaj Qasem Soleimani and to introduce aspects of his character and legacy to the younger generation through the medium of art.
