Located in one of the highest areas of the Abasabad Eco park, namely Taleghani Park, the Flag Tower stands 150 meters high. Its 156 steps have made it a suitable venue for hosting two rounds of stair-climbing record competitions. The tower is positioned so prominently that it can be seen from Tehran’s major highways as a symbolic landmark of the city. On windy days, the 300-kilogram flag atop the tower reacts strongly to the gusts, producing noticeable noise.
The steel structure has a base area of 530 square meters and stands at an elevation of about 1,500 meters above sea level. It is set on a raised platform, separated from the ground by 14 steps. The surrounding area includes a 650-square-meter tourist viewing space that allows visitors to approach the sacred flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
