The bridges of Abasabad Ecopark, designed in accordance with the points specified in the Master Plan, feature a unique and eye-catching architectural style. The valley-like shape of the hills in this cultural and tourism area has led to the construction of connecting bridges at specific locations. In designing these bridges, the goal was not merely to create passageways but to establish urban spaces that invite visitors to stop, gather, and enjoy the surroundings.
Silk Bridge 1 is the first bridge along the north–south route of Abasabad Eco Park. It is a cablesupported structure built over Hemmat Highway, providing access between Banader Park and the Solar System Park. The bridge spans 158 meters in length.
The name “Silk Bridge” has historical significance, drawing inspiration from the ancient “Silk Road,” which once served as a major trade route linking Iran with other countries. Another reason for the name is the existence of a historic bridge with the same name in the city of Neishabour, also located along the Silk Road.
