Gonbad-e-Mina, a one-of-a-kind structure and the largest planetarium of its kind in the world, offers visitors a breathtaking view of the sky projected onto its domed ceiling. A central projector displays celestial scenes, complemented by separate projectors for the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars.
This scientific tourism center serves as a gateway to the heavens — a glass-domed structure inspired by the Sun that invites visitors on a deep journey into the mysterious and boundless world of the cosmos. Covering an area of 8500 square meters, the unique Mina Dome building is located within the Solar System Park of Abasabad Eco Park in Tehran.
The center hosts a wide range of scientific, artistic, and innovative programs organized by clubs dedicated to astronomy, science, entertainment, creativity, and technology. Activities include astronomical education, astrophotography, planetarium cinema, astronomy and nature tourism, as well as scientific events and festivals.
Gonbad-e-Mina Observatory and Science Center is a member of the International Association of Planetariums and has been honored with the 20th Iran Science Promotion Award by the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
